In order to avoid welding penetration, the welding current shall be properly matched with the welding signal. For example, when the welding current is large, the welding speed shall be appropriately increased and the installation gap of weldments shall be strictly controlled. During gas maintenance welding, it should also be noted that the gas flow benefit should not be too large to avoid cutting effect.
Generally, flat welding is easy to achieve good weld formation. It is difficult for laser welding machine to achieve good weld formation during single-sided welding, double-sided forming, curved weld, straight and transverse weld and welding. Usually, corresponding measures need to be taken according to its physical conditions.
During the welding of laser welding machine, the appearance of incomplete penetration at the root of the welded joint is called incomplete penetration: the appearance of complete melting connection between the weld bead and the base metal or between the weld bead and the weld bead is called incomplete fusion,. Stress concentration is easy to occur at incomplete penetration and incomplete fusion, which reduces the mechanical properties of the joint. The main reasons for incomplete penetration and incomplete fusion are that the welding current is too small, the welding speed is too high, the groove size is inappropriate, the welding wire violates the weld base, or the influence of cross magnetic bias blowing, etc. The weldment is poorly sorted, and impurities prevent the fusion between the edge and root of the base metal and between the welding layers, which is also easy to lead to incomplete penetration and incomplete fusion.
In order to avoid incomplete penetration and incomplete fusion, the laser welding machine shall accurately select the welding parameters, groove mode and air in the installation room, and ensure that the welding is aligned with the weld base. Note the finishing of both sides of the groove and between the weld bead layers to fully fuse between the molten metals and between the deposited metal and the base metal.
